NewSQL Defined
NewSQL is a relational database management type that aims to provide scalability for NoSQL systems to process workloads from online transactions. Some enterprise systems with high-profile data, like financial data, are too large for conventional relational databases but have transactional requirements that are not supported by NoSQL systems. NewSQL systems can be grouped into three categories: new architectures, SQL engines, and transparent sharing.Â
